Gas prices have skyrocketed over the last year. In fact, they have more than doubled in just the last two decades and that has caused a real strain on most American families. A recent poll conducted by the Associated Press found that about 90% of respondents said the high gas prices were causing them financial difficulties.
If you're in the majority and need to find some type of relief from these gas prices that don't seem to be heading back down any time soon, then you may be interested in an alternative that won't require you to trade in your car and might even help your car last longer.
Water is the best alternative currently available to solve our reliance on oil and to save us from these gas prices. Now lots of car manufacturers, including Toyota, are working on hydrogen-powered automobiles but you don't have to wait for those to hit the market and you don't have to trade in your current vehicle to get one.
Many people steer clear of these options because they are worried that such changes are going to be difficult and might cause lasting damage to their cars. The good news is that's not the case.
Because this alternative is being ignored by the mainstream media, most people either haven't even heard about the option or believe it can't be real.
What happens is that the gasoline in your car ends up fueling the process that makes the water useful to your engine. You see, a molecule of water is made up of atoms of hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen can be converted into energy for your car but only when it is separated from the oxygen through electricity. The gas provides the electricity to make this separation and to allow the hydrogen to fuel your vehicle.
Benefits of Changing to Water Power
Cost is only part of the benefits of using water for fuel. Another benefit is that it's better for the environment. Gasoline adds numerous pollutants to the air when you're traveling or when you're just idling. These pollutants are also carcinogens which have been contributing to the increased risks of cancer.
Additionally, burning water for fuel doesn't result in the release of carcinogens or other pollutants into the air. Instead, only water vapor is released. The water vapor is completely harmless to the environment and to human health. In fact, we breathe it in every day because it's already part of our atmosphere.
Why do so many people doubt that water can be a viable source of fuel for your car today? The answer is simple: the media, the government, and the oil companies want us to doubt the hydrogen solution. Thankfully, many people have decided not to buy into the ethanol promise and are instead looking at more promising alternatives, including water and hydrogen.
